Your Wedding Day Timings are crucial to ensure that your wedding day runs smoothly and stress-free for you from the very beginning.
Things to consider when planning your wedding day timings are:
How big is your bridal party?
Who out of your Party is having bridal hair and make-up done?
What time is your Ceremony? Do you need to travel far (Include this in your wedding day timings)?
Are you planning on having any photos of your Bridal Party taken by your Photographer prior to your Ceremony?
Speak to your Hairdresser and Make Up Artist about how long they will take. (Usually allow for a couple of hours for the Bride and 45-60 minutes for each member of the Bridal Party)
Allow 30 minutes for putting your dress on.
Arrival times before the Ceremony
Groom and Groomsmen 45 Minutes
Guests 30 Minutes (Normally start to arrive)
Grooms Parents 15 Minutes
Mother of Bride and Bridesmaids 10 Minutes
Bride and Father of the Bride 5 Minutes
Non – Religious 20-45 Minutes
Civil 30-45 Minutes
Religious 60-90 Minutes (Depending on denomination)
Photographs – After the Ceremony, discuss with your Photographer about how many Photo’s you want taken at the Ceremony.
WEDDING RECEPTION (DAY)
Drinks Reception 11/2 – 2 Hours
Seating Guests Up to 30 Minutes for Guests to move from drinks reception
through to Wedding Breakfast (Allow unto 40 minutes if you are having a Receiving Line)
Wedding Breakfast 2 Hours (For a three-course meal)
Speeches 30-40 Minutes (They shouldn’t take any more that this)
Each speaker should take no more than 10 Minutes)
Evening Guests Should be invited to arrive 30 Minutes after the
Wedding Breakfast is scheduled to finish
Cutting of the Cake No more than 45 minutes after the end of the Wedding
The First Dance Should follow immediately after cutting of the cake
