Kirsty and Mark’s wedding story

kirsty and marks weddingKirsty and Mark’s wedding was the latest special day that I had the pleasure of coordinating on the day.

The day was all about their love of books and art. The wedding reception couldn’t have taken place in a more perfect Venue. Read on to find out more about how personal this wedding was.

Kirsty and Mark both work in education so a love of books comes high in their lives. Kirsty also has a love of music. This was both evident within their wedding day.

The Ceremony

The celebration started off in a Local church to where they live, and a beautiful Ceremony was held. There were beautiful readings made by Kirsty and her Chief Bridesmaid. Following the Ceremony, Guest’s were invited to kirsty and marks weddingafternoon tea and gorgeous cupcakes supplied by The Cake Room in Bridgnorth. There was a choice of Raspberry and Buttercream, Salted Caramel, Carrot Cake, rich chocolate and lemon and lime. Mark and the Father of the Bride also made their speeches here.

The Guests were served tea and cake in the Church was because the Venue for the Wedding Reception was not available until early evening. The wait was certainly worth it though.

Kirsty and Mark’s wedding was certainly focussed on them as a Couple. When they found their reception Venue, they knew it was perfect for them. The Venue was a place where Kirsty visited as a Child, so it also had great memories for her too.

The Reception

So where is this fantastic Venue where Kirsty and Mark’s wedding reception took place, you are asking? Well it was no other than the beautiful Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

After a very quick turnaround from a Museum being open to the public, to an hour later a gorgeous wedding venue, Guests began to arrive to a champagne reception in the Round Gallery and entertained by the sounds of a very talented violinist, Jo Dodds..

The wedding breakfast was served in the Industrial Gallery, again whilst being entertained by the Violinist and a couple of Song’s were performed by Kirsty’s amazing daughter, Ellie.

kirsty and marks weddingThe evening reception was kicked off with Mark and Kirsty cutting their amazing wedding cake, produced by Enrique of Have Some Cake which led them into their perfect first dance which they had received professional lessons for, of “At Last” by Etta James followed by some fantastic live tunes performed by The Rocketeers

Kirsty and Mark’s wedding was an amazing day highlighting a wedding as it should – by reflecting on their personalities and their lives together.
