It would help if you had something easy to nibble on that’s not too messy, and you can’t get much simpler than some bright, vibrant vegetable crudites, but dress them up with some amazing dips. Plant-based chickpea falafel and courgette fritters, as well as an aubergine pate, are all excellent choices.

Your Wedding Breakfast

If you’re having a formal sit down meal, you could

Stuffed mushrooms with walnuts and spinach. Or bruschetta with sun-dried tomatoes and olives.

A risotto with pea and mint is ideal for a summer wedding (And can also be served as a main course) or if you’re getting married in the Winter, perhaps a spicy lentil soup.

Onto the main…

Wild mushroom risotto (If you have a risotto starter, you’d want to avoid this as a main, though!) Alternatives could be a vegan paella or mushroom wellington.

Something sweet to finish…

A fruit sorbet, apple tart, fruit kebabs, or mixed berry shortcake. You could also serve vegan doughnuts, and these would be a great alternative to having a wedding cake. Take a look at Planet Doughnut, who do some amazing vegan doughnuts.Vegan wedding desserts

Don’t fancy a formal meal?

You could also think about an informal buffet instead of a sit-down meal. Fill the buffet station with tasty filling salads such as mixed greens, quinoa, onions, and roasted almonds, or lentil salad with roasted vegetables, pumpkins, and pomegranate.

Whatever vegan food you decide to have for your Wedding, don’t forget to consider the time of year you’re getting married, and make sure that your food choices are suitable.

For example, you don’t want to have warming soups if you’re having a summer wedding. Likewise, sorbets for dessert probably aren’t a good idea for a winter wedding!

Also don’t forget about your guests who have special dietary requirements and allergies, and make sure that you’ve got alternative dishes in mind for them.
