The wedding where Guests are taken by surprise

The wedding where Guests are taken by surpriseA family farm in Beckbury, Shropshire. That was the location for Tom and Emily’s Wedding in early September. It was certainly the wedding where Guests are taken by surprise!

From the minute that I met Tom and Emily, I knew that this was going to be a wonderful wedding.

A marquee provided by Forecast Marquees was the chosen structure. It was beautifully decorated by Emily and her bridal party.

CEREMONY

Tom and Emily got married at Enginuity within the beautiful Ironbridge Gorge. They made their own way back to the Farm. Guests were already being served a selection of Canapes by Fresh and Lush and a choice of drinks. They were kept entertained by the acoustic sound of Jae Ryder.

After formal and group photographs had been taken by Lyric Photography, Guests were asked to take their seats by Dom, the Best Man and Toastmaster.

The speeches followed, and I must say the “Best Men” speech was one of the funniest I have ever heard. The comedy duo really did pull Tom to pieces – all in good humour though!

Fresh and Lush served a beautiful meal of Caramelised Onion and Feta Cheese Tart followed by Chicken.

Whilst Guests were tucking into their chicken, three of the waiting staff who had been serving Guests drinks, suddenly burst into song, complete with guitars! I have never worked with Singing Waiters before, but I would totally recommend them to entertain your Guests.

EVENING RECEPTION

After the surprise of the singing waiters, Guests could have dessert served by The Brownie Boss. Wow, certainly not for those counting calories, those brownies were AMAZING!

WEDDING TURNS TO CLUB NIGHT

Tom and Emily kicked open the dance floor with their first dance of “Thinking of You” played by the amazing House DJ (Former Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi) Stuart Ojelay who continued to play old school dance classics throughout the evening with a full dance floor throughout.

Assisting Stuart with two sets was former Hed Kandi and Celebrity Saxophonist Andy Sax, who performed amongst the Guests on the dancefloor.

For those feeling peckish, a selection of Indian Snacks provided by Jolly Catering were available throughout the evening.

LMS WEDDINGS COORDINATING THE WEDDING

Tom and Emily approached me almost 12 months before their wedding day to help with coordinating their wedding day to ensure that it ran smoothly. In that time, I have helped them with solutions to any problems that they came across, provided guidance and was there for them when they needed me. On the day itself, after sitting down with Tom and Emily I had timescales as to how they wanted the day to go and used this to ensure that the day ran as they wanted it to. I also prompted the best man to ensure that announcements were made at the correct times

As they were having a free bar, they also asked me if I could help them source staffing for it. I put together a team of staff who ensured that the bar was available for Guests, drinks were served on arrival, prosecco was poured and ready for speeches, tables and general areas were always kept tidy.
