What happens when you or your partner are terminally ill and one of your last wishes is to get married to each other?
This was the situation with my latest beautiful wedding. Unfortunately, the Groom is terminally ill. Thanks to a charity called Gift of A Wedding his wishes were able to be granted.
Gift of a Wedding helps to create your dream wedding, when you think that it is impossible. Perhaps you have had to give up work to become your Partner’s carer and there is just no chance of you being able to afford to get married. Gift of a wedding (once necessary checks have been made with Medical staff) contact local wedding Suppliers to where you live to see if they can help create your dream wedding day. This is just what happened to Charlotte and William.
One of William’s wishes was to get married to his long-term partner, Charlotte, and thanks to the kindness of some wedding suppliers in the Worcestershire area we were able to achieve this.
Style and Theme
Charlotte and William have a love of bingo and Liverpool FC, and the colour pink. This formed the style of how their wedding was to be.
Their wedding was held at the Pear Tree Inn and Country Hotel. The main room was beautifully decorated with a colour scheme of red (For Liverpool FC) pink and ivory. The Bingo and Liverpool FC was obvious in the choice of balloons, which were in fishbowls covered in bingo balls. The room was decorated thanks to Love and Magic Weddings and Events and balloons donated by Something Party.
Charlotte also looked amazing too, her hair and make up were done by Beauty and Blush and Jasmine Southall. Her beautiful gown was supplied by 2 Have and 2 Hold. A gorgeous bouquet also complimented her dress, donated by Floral Jazz.
They were married by Celebrant Julia Hawkes who carried out an emotional and beautiful Ceremony. Once married, their rings were handed over on a personalised ring cushion, kindly donated by Fabracadabra and the rings were from Wedstones.
After the Ceremony, William and Charlotte’s Guests were entertained by the very talented Chloe Barry before an intimate 2 course meal. Favours were donated by Sarah’s Feisty Flavours which were small pots of jam.
The Evening Reception
More Guests joined in the Celebrations. William and Charlotte kicked off the evening party by cutting their gorgeous wedding cake which fitted the theme so well thanks to Amanda’s Luxury Wedding Cakes and Glam Glass Gifts.
The first dance was Hero by Enrique Inglesias. For Guests who didn’t feel like dancing, they could entertain themselves with the Magic Mirror (Feel the Magic Weddings) Or have fun with the Glitter Artist, Get Glitz. There was also a Candy Cart thanks to Halls Hire House.
I have to say that Charlotte and William’s has got to be the most emotional wedding that I have had the pleasure to work on, however without Gift of A Wedding and the generosity of the mentioned wedding suppliers, this would not have been possible. Charlotte and William really did have their dream wedding day, and probably more than they could have ever expected,
