Last Saturday, I coordinated my last wedding of the year at Cheswell Grange. What I love about my job is seeing the different styles that Couples produce for their wedding day. Most styles in marquees are rustic or boho. Last week was Rachel and Phil’s elegant marquee wedding. Read on to find out about their beautiful day.

Elegant Marquee Wedding styling

Rachel and Phil arranged most of the decor, but there was a heavy presence of flowers at their wedding. Supplied by Hills Florist in Dudley, Lisa, the florist, transformed the Venue into a great space. There were pedestal arrangments within the

Boathouse for the Ceremony, which we transferred to the marquee for the Reception.

There were again high arrangments on alternative tables, with Church LED candle arrangments on the opposite tables.

The Ceremony

Rachel and Phil began their Wedding celebrations by being married by Telford and Wrekin Council Registrars in the Boathouse overlooking the lake. It was a very emotional ceremony, with readings read by Rachel’s daughters.

The Ceremony and the rest of the day were captured by Sam Dunn Wedding Photography and Aerial Drone Photography and Videography.

Food and Drink

Rachel and Phil joined their Guests from the Boathouse for the confetti shot and formal photos. They followed reception drinks served by Midland Elite Bars and canapes served by Plyvine Catering. Guests could mingle on the lakeside, take a seat on haybales or play the available lawn games.

The Wedding Breakfast

When it was time, I announced for the Guests to make their way to their seats in the marquee before welcoming the newlyweds into the Wedding breakfast. Plyvine served a continental sharing platter to the tables for starters and a trio of desserts to finish with. For the main course, each table had a Chef’s hat and apron, and one Guest on each table was chosen to be Carver. The main course was a joint of turkey, which the Carver had to carve for the other Guests on the table, and a selection of vegetables accompanied.

Phil and his best man completed the wedding breakfast with two short speeches.

Evening Reception

About 40 more Guests arrived to join in the celebrations. Fells Fun Booth came with a photo booth for Guests to take away keepsakes of the special day.

The evening reception started with Rachel and Phil cutting their beautiful iced three-tier wedding cake, created by a friend of Rachels. After the cake cutting, Rachel and Phil took to the dance floor for their first dance, Ed Sheeran’s Thinking out loud, performed by the Entertainer for the night, Nick James.

Last to arrive at Rachel and Phil’s elegant marquee wedding was Pro-Roasts, to feed any hungry evening guests with their choice of BBQ, Crepes, or Waffles.

Rachel and Phil had a wonderful wedding day, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
