So, this is in no particular order; here are some details about Barn Wedding venues in Shropshire:

Moat Hall Barn, Shrewsbury

Brand new for 2023, situated on a historic farm and created using sustainable functions where possible.

Perfect for: Rustic, Festival, Boho, Farm themed weddings

Licenced for Ceremonies?

Yes, you have a choice of indoor or outdoor ceremony locations. There is overlooking the lake, but if the weather worsens, plans can be changed quickly to move to the Byre. For smaller intimate weddings, there is the beautiful Hayloft.

Your Wedding Reception

Once you’re married, you can enjoy your drinks reception in the Paddock before moving to the Top Barn for your Wedding breakfast (Up to 120 Guests). If you’re looking for a festival-themed WeddingWedding, you could hire a Tipi or Marquee for up to 150 Guests.


To complete the festival vibe, if that’s the style you’re going for, there is plenty of space for your guests to camp in the Paddock.

Malthouse Barn, Shrewsbury

Purpose-built in 2020 in a beautiful countryside setting.

Perfect for: Rustic, Industrial, Formal Wedding Styles.

Licenced for Ceremonies?

Yes, both indoors and outdoors.

Your Wedding Reception

Drinks and canapes can be served outside on the grounds before you and your Guests enter the main barn area for the rest of your celebrations. The Barn area can accommodate up to 150 Guests.


There is a spacious bridal suite, which is excellent for getting ready with your bridal party. Two other rooms would be ideal for the night before your Wedding.

Camlad Barns, Bishops Castle

Ideal for: Rustic Weddings

Licenced for Ceremonies?

Yes, there are multiple spaces to get married for up to 100 Guests, such as The Wain House, The Old Oak Barn, or plenty of outside areas if you want a celebrant-led ceremony.

Wedding Reception

Maximum capacity for a seated meal in the Barn is 90 or 160 for a more informal street style/buffet.

The Haybarn, Church Stretton

Beautifully situated in the Shropshire Hills, so stunning photograph opportunities.

Perfect for: Rustic, Festival Themes

Licenced for Ceremonies? 

The Haybarn isn’t licenced for legal ceremonies, but the available space makes it ideal to be flexible and have a celebrant-led ceremony.

The Wedding Reception

Have your drinks reception outside, followed by your Wedding breakfast and reception in the Barn for up to 100 people. Alternatively, go big and hire a tipi, marquee, or yurt on the grounds!


There is the Bridal Cottage for the Couple and glamping pods for Guests.

Pimhill Barn Shrewsbury

Pimhill is a traditional barn with timer beams.

Perfect for: Rustic style

Yes, there is the rustic Barn.

The Wedding Reception

Next to the Barn is the Brick Cart Shed which has a variety of uses, such as a bar area, street food service, photo booth, etc.

Pimhill Barn can cater for up to 150 Guests, but you can add a marquee to the Barn for larger weddings.

Stanford Farm, Shrewsbury

Ideal for festival weddings

Licenced for Ceremonies?

Yes, both indoors and outdoors. There are the stables or overlooking the lake (Great options if the weather should change at the last minute!)

Wedding Reception

After your Ceremony, you could have your drinks reception in The Courtyard. Depending on the number of Guests, you could have your wedding breakfast in the Tipi (up to 50 Guests) and then the evening reception in The Cowhouse (up to 200) or use the Tipi as a chill-out area.

Stanford Farm is a barn wedding venue with many options.


In keeping with the venue, there are even quirky accommodation options, including a double-decker bus and hobbit huts!

Barnutopia, Near Oswestry

Ideal for rustic, farm-themed weddings

Licenced for Ceremonies?


The Venue:

There is the Event Barn which can cater for up to 120 Guests, with the addition of the Dutch Barn, which is perfect for a photo booth or outside street-style Catering.


There are ten yurts on site.

Bridal Barn, Near Bridgnorth

The Bridal Barn is a sandstone barn with vaulted ceilings.

Ideal for: Woodland Wedding


The Barn is licenced for ceremonies, but the hidden gem of the woodland is also perfect for a celebrant-led Ceremony.

The Wedding Reception

Enjoy your drinks reception in the Courtyard, followed by your Wedding Breakfast in the Barn, for 106 during the day and 135 Guests in the evening. If you want something more relaxed and informal for the evening, there is also the Tipi in the Courtyard which is perfect for a band and dancefloor, then Street food could be served to your Guests in the Courtyard.


The Bridal Barn doesn’t have any accommodation. However, they do have the Bridal Lounge, which is a spacious area for getting ready on the morning of your WeddingWedding, or just going somewhere for a bit of timeout with your other half on your wedding day!
